A member asked:

Could anxiety lead to addison disease?

9 doctors weighed in across 3 answers

No: Emotions do not cause addison's disease, and most likely, the cause is secondary to some organic problem such as tuberculosis or underlying endocrinological dysfnctn. Start with a local endocrinology specialist, uncover causation, and get appropriate therapy!

No: Addison disease is an autoimmune disease. Your body attacks itself. Anxiety won't cause it but addison disease can lead to anxiety.
