Time to seek help: When you have gone 2 years without success it is time to talk with your OB about a fertility workup. Both you & your partner need to be evaluated. The OB may do some studies or refer you to a fertility clinic that can assess you both. If there are problems they can help you treat them or look into your options.

Timed intercourse: Having sex every other day starting about 4-5 days before ovulation is a good start. Most women ovulate on day 14 of a 28 day cycle with day 1 being the first day of your period. If you have been having unprotected sex for 4 years and still haven't gotten pregnant; you may want to see your doctor to check if you are ovulating. Your partner may also consider a semen analysis.
