No, and yes!: There is no need to worry about the dog bite from 9 yrs. Ago but if you have not had a tetanus booster recently i would recommend that you get the Adacel vaccine - a combination of tetanus and whooping cough as soon as you can. That will keep you, and those around you, protected.

More info needed: There is no outer limit for rabies immunization after an appropriate exposure. Circumstances around the bite? Dog died accidentally? How long after the bite and how was the dog behaving between the bite and the death? Was the dog immunized for rabies? Prolonged incubation periods for rabies are quite rare and if the dog was fine until, say, it was hit by a car 2 weeks after..You are ok.
