Nerve damage: It's possible that when you sprained your ankle, one or multiple nerves were stretched and damaged resulting in a tingling sensation. I would suspect this would resolve on its own. If it doesn't, evaluation by your physician may be warranted.

RICE: Simple things like rest, ice packs, compression wraps and elevation are helpful in the immediate setting. If this does not help, it may we helpful to see a podiatrist or foot and ankle orthopedist who can get xrays to ensure there are no breaks and properly immobilize you in an ankle brace or boot.
