Breast augmentation: If extra fat is available and you want to enlarge your breasts by about a cup to a cup and a half , then fat transfer is ideal. If you want no scars and an implant that can give any size you want, then tuba breast augmentation is the safest and the best. Last, but not least is the silicone gel implants. Good luck from nyc.

Subfascial anatomic!: The most natural and beautiful appearing technique is subfascial placement with shaped form stable silicone implants via a transaxillary approach. Avoid the tuba as there is relatively little control of the result and you will be stuck with saline implants which are generally very poor looking aesthetically. The technique I use routinely is called "cold-subfascial augmentation.".

Depends upon goals: For a result that will likely not need much redo surgery over the years i recommend: (1) "under the muscle" placement. (2) reasonable size - large can lead to more surgery over time. (3) saline-filled implants - less scaring, hardening and problems. (4) incision - use one that can be re-used if need be - around the areola or under the breast.

It depends on you.: Most breast implants are placed via an imf or periareolar incision, and submuscular placement has advantages for most women. The best implants will depend on your breasts and you goals. The best method is to use a board certified plastic surgeon, preferable a member of the asaps (american society for aesthetic plastic surgery) or the asps (american society of plastic surgeons).

Many Resources.: I would suggest starting with the american society of plastic surgery and/or the aesthetic society of plastic surgery to obtain a list of well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons. then, i would suggest you visit a few surgeons whose practices concentrate him on aesthetic surgery. Ask to see lots of examples of their work and preferably speak/see patients who have had similar procedures.

Use referrals: From trusted friends, hospitals, medical societies, professional organizations, and medical colleagues. The american society of plastic surgeons does have international members and you may want to start there.
