A member asked:

Will squinting or staring at the sun cause the same amount of damage?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Staring is worse: Direct sun exposure to the retina and lens is damaging. Squinting is not great protection, but will nonetheless restrict the amount of sun getting into the eye.
