There's help: The night terrors can be quite disturbing to the person experiencing them. Stress reduction may help prevent. It is unusual to have the terrors past age 10 or so, but not unheard of. See http://sgoti.Ws/uyda34.

Sleep deprivation: Sleep issues like sleep walking or night terrors are often found in kids with poor sleep habits. The average teen needs 8-9 hrs/night & occasionally more during growth spurts.If the kid is pushing the limit & developing a sleep deficit these issues come out. Discuss you kids case with doctor & see if other issues need to be assessed with a sleep study, but improving sleep habits may help.
