Not Easy: Night terrors are related to the deepest stages of sleep and most commonly occur in the preschool and early elementary school age range. They tend to be age related and usually disappear over time. They are not usually treated with medication, but occasionally antidepressant medicines will provide some benefit. They are not consistently helpful. Night terrors present no long term health risk.
