A member asked:

Are the contact lenses that are given during fittings paid for by the optometrists?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes and no: Most sample lenses that eye doctors use are free samples supplied by the manufacturers to try and get their product out there. For unusual fits or eye patterns there may be some cost to the eye doctor. For most eye conditions, samples are readily available and should not be charged to the patient.
