Depends on position: Unless you are playing as a lineman, who are prone to mcl injuries, a football players should not typically where braces, even after an acl reconstruction. The braces and sleeves will inhibit quad activity and can make a knee worse. If you have an acl tear without having undergone reconstruction, football is not recommended at all. Braces do not protect rotation of the knee from an acl tear.
