A member asked:

What does it mean if someone has a papilloma by their eye. is it dangerous?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

not dangerous: A papilloma usually occurs on top of the eyelid and is the result of something underneath it, in the eyelid, that causes it to grow. If left to grow, it can get large enough to impede vision when looking down. Sometimes they resolve without any treatment, or with warm moist packs applied for an hour or more they can sometimes resolve without surgery.
