Dentin: Dentin surrounds the nerve tissue of the tooth. Most of the time, the dentin is completely covered by enamel or cementum. Where the dentin is exposed to the oral cavity is where you feel the sensitivity. This may be due to the way the tooth grew in or a problem with the tooth ( cavity, fracture, etc.). I recommend you see a dentist to evaluate and treat any problems.

Gum recession : Assuming you don't have cavities any where and not one tooth is sensitive to cold , it's a section, that might be a localized gum recession (gingivitis) that exposed a part of the roots of those teeth that caused the sensitivity.
