How long should the pain last after having breast implants?

Varies: Recovery varies from person to person, but i tell my patients in ohio who have breast implants that the surgical site may hurt for 2-3 days and then gradually gets better over the next 2-3 weeks. If you have any questions about the pain you are having after surgery, call your surgeon and have them evaluate your progress.

Individual: Post operative breast pain is extremely individual, it depends on the surgeons technique and the patients tolerance. Implants positions is also important, as under the muscle is always more tender. My patients usually don't have pain, but do feel tightness in the chest, which gets better every day. Most patients should be able to go to a desk job the next day and the gym in about 10 days.

Variable: The most intense pain is always within the first 48-72 hours of surgery which typically markedly diminishes by 7-10 days with most people rarely needing any pain meds by 3 weeks when they can return to exercise avoiding strenuous use of the upper extremities. However there is great variation depending on size, location of implants, techniques, medications, and individual pain tolerance.

Varies.: Although every patient responds differently to surgical procedures, most patients are over the “hump” 2 to 4 days after breast augmentation surgery. During this time, pain medication and muscle relaxants are very helpful. Most patients are able to return to a desk job within one week and resume moderate level activity/exercise within 2 weeks. Heavy exercise resumes usually 4 to 6 weeks postop.

Varies: Everyone is different, but you can expect the recovery time to be about 1-2 weeks. After surgery, we recommend that you begin walking the same day to reduce your risk of complications. http://www.dassmd.com/breast-augmentation/index.html.

variable time: Each patient recovers differently from surgery. If the breast implants are placed on the muscle, then soreness can be expected for the first week. After this, patients generally experienced no significant discomfort. Muscle relaxers and pain medication can help you get through the postoperative discomfort.
