Never give up : None of us have perfect bodies..Herniated discs move. You will have tough days buth there are others would be less. Fish oil, collagen, vitamin d move free, exercise exercise and exercise. If you do not do yoga or exercise, then do not complain! Cymbalta (duloxetine) and old antidepressants Elavil and Doxepin are helpful to some extent. Bottom line is never give up and there is always a better tomorrow.

Many things: Though a psychiatrist cannot not probably fix your disc, they can be extremely helpful in dealing with the psychological issues that almost always accompany chronic pain. Often, when the pain is long term it affects the nervous system and treating that part of the pain cycle can be very beneficial. Certainly look into it.
