Many directories: You can get a referral from your primary doc, your health insurance website or your local hospital. You can google "vascular surgeons" and get information on local providers. Health grades is a website that ranks local docs by their own patients. Even the phone book will have listings for local vascular providers.

Vascularweb.org: www.vascularweb.org has a wealth of info, including where to find a vascular surgeon. Also could check your insurance provider to see who is in network.

Best Source: The society for vascular surgery (svs) is the national association of vascular surgeons and those who treat peripheral arterial disease (pad). This would be a great resource to identify those who have an interest in pad. You should also cross-reference these names with the american board of surgery and be sure that your surgeon is board certified specifically in the specialty of vascular surgery.

Internet/phone book: You can look for vascular surgeons/interventional radiologists who treat peripheral vascular disease on the internet, in the phone book, or call your local hospital.
