Does vascular disease cause leg stiffness?

Not really: As vascular disease progresses the muscles first then nerves of the leg create symptoms. Initially vascular insufficiency causes leg fatigue and cramps in the calves and thigh muscles. Nerve pain from insufficiency is worse at night and can be so intense it drives patients to seek help. Stiffness may be from something else. Ok to check with your doc. Simple vascular ultrasound will make diagnosis.
