Wisdom teeth: 1.Get a panoramic/icat xray 2.Consultation then the surgeon will numb the areas/iv sedation, tissue is reflected and a groove is made between the tooth and bone then the tooth is sectioned and removed. Two sutures are placed for each site. Po sleep @ 45 degrees, take motrin, ice on/off every 20 min for 4 days, take all pre/po drugs rx'd. I use local only, pts can better take care of themselves.

Wisdom teeth : The process of wisdom teeth extraction is unique for each patient. Some of the commonalities include a thorough examination by the treating doctor which would also incorporate evaluating the degree of difficulty of the procedure, specific x-rays, a review of your medical status and history. You may discuss if you will have general or local anesthesia.
