Is this a mass?: Painless - yet 'tense'? Sounds like you're describing fullness or a mass in the ruq. Could be your liver. See an actual md and have it examined. Good luck.

It could be guarding: Sometimes with liver, gallbladder or bile duct inflammation, the muscles in the right upper quadrant will become rigid. See a physician without delay to get a proper diagnosis.
