Eye exam equipment: The basic equipment used by optometrists includes an eye chart or projector, near vision card, phoropter (determines refraction), lensmeter, slit lamp (biomicroscope), tonometer, ophthalmoscope (direct and indirect), keratometer, muscle light, stereo vision chart, color vision chart, various lenses and prisms, trial frame and lenses. More advanced equipment: fundus camera, visual field machine.
