Scope sterilizer: Most scopes are sterilized by a combination of heat, pressure and chemical agents to kill all bacteria, viruses and infectious agents--a thorough brushing is also usually included to remove any debris collected in biopsy channels for example. Ask your doc to explain if you have worries, but transmission of infections is very rare if proper technique is used!
