What can be done to get rid of an eye twitch?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Several things: Eye twitches, while extremely irritating, are quite common, and rarely the sign of anything pathological. Some folks are more prone to them than others. The primary factors that precipitate them in most are sleep deprivation, stress, and caffeine. So, the best path to getting rid of them is to make sure you're getting plenty of rest, and reducing or eliminating caffeine until it resolves.
