A member asked:

Can having very high blood sugars be fatal as opposed to a low sugar level?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, both cases: High blood sugar(diabetes) can cause a coma and death. Low blood sugar can cause weakness and unconsciousness and if untreated , death as well. The brain requires oxygen and normal levels of glucose at all times.
