Seek evaluation: If the child has not had a good psychiatric/psychological evaluation and therapy efforts, then consider pursuing these. The child may have a treatable condition. Mental health personnel in your area may inform you of resources available to assist you and the child.

Not a medical choice: This is not a medical approach to the problem of disruptive behavior. You would be best to discuss this with other parents who have done this. In my experiance it has helped some patients and made no difference in others. Legal options are another way to go.
