A member asked:

What treatment is available for food aversion in a child?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hunger.: Food aversion is mainly the result of the mismatch between the child's true caloric needs (quite small, between 12 months of age and puberty) and parents' perceptions of when and how much the child should eat. Let them get hungry, don't try to force feed, and remember that when they are only hungry "for" a specific food, they are really not hungry. And avoid juices and sweetened drinks.
