Many questions: It appears that you may have multiple issues and possibly not all dental related. For your swollen left tonsil which you report causing a tickle in your ear (on your left side i presume) you may want to visit an ear nose and throat specialist. If the root canal is symptomatic or painful, return to the treating dentist and ask for an evaluation. It is curious that all concerns are on your left side.

No root canal relate: Root canal is not related to tonsils unless you have a huge infection affecting your throat that you can barely breath and must go to the er. Visit an ent.
