What is high creatinine (1.20) with low sgfr (54)?

Kidney function test: The egfr is estimated glomerular filtration rate. Which is measured by the serum creatinine, a chemical removed from the blood by the kidney. Normal scr is about 1, normal egfr is about 100. You should review these labs with your doctor to see why they are abnormal.

Low kidney function: Gfr is usually calculated from blood creatinine, 24 hr urinary creatinine and body surface area. Gfr of 54 is significantly below normal and suggests this should be managed by a nephrologist or internist.

Kidney marker: A woman at your age usually has a serum creatinine a bit lower, and it's your physician's call whether to start a kidney workup. You may want to repeat this off NSAIDS and other meds you may not really need. When I was lifting weights daily, my creatinine levels ran 1.6-1.7. I'd be more concerned if your urinalysis or concentrating ability were abnormal. Best wishes.
