Probably: Cefaclor belongs to a class of antibiotics called cephalosporins, which have a chemical structure similar, but different, to penicillin. Patients with penicillin allergy with react to the first generation of cephalosporins in roughly 10% of cases. However, the newer the cephalosporin, the less it cross-reacts with penicillin. Cefaclor is 2nd-generation, thus the risk should be lower.
