Before discharge: You will be walking before you are discharged; travel depends on your surgeon and the amount of travel and mode.

Walk now travel late: This is not painful or debilitating surgery and most patients are up the day of surgery. But travel is best delayed until healing is further along, to ensure there is no bleeding or circulation impairment. If everything is doing well your surgeon might let you travel as soon as a week or two (but no lifting luggage or strenuous activity)!

Varies.: You will likely be walking within 24 hours after your procedure is performed. However, traveling will depend on exactly what is involved. Your plastic surgeon will be your best resource when it comes to returning to specific activities and advising you about traveling. Best wishes.

How long after a breast reduction can I walk around and travel far?

Not too long...: My breast reduction patients are up walking on the evening of these outpatient operations. Generally it is a good idea to wait 10-14 days before travel away from your surgeon. Long distance travel that requires a lot of lifting and activity is probably best avoided for 3-4 weeks, but this is almost entirely dependent on the individual patient.
