Vitreous debris: The floating debris seen in the central or peripheral vision is actually composed of collagen fibers that are breakdown products of the vitreous. These spots float in and out of the visual field. If the spots are stationary and constant they may be associated with a retinal problem's, migraine syndromes or scotomas ( visual defects) from optic nerve problems.
