One day at a time: Ar night, try to rest. Don't worry if you don't sleep. Just rest. Each day will become easier. One day/night at a time. You will get better, little by little and day by day. Count your blessings.

Prevention: No individual advice can be offered. Avoid repeating the experience by quitting drinking or drinking only lightly. Alcohol withdrawal can cause these symptoms and increase blood pressure and risk of seizure, stroke or heart attack. Withdrawals r a sign of alcohol dependency - and if this is a recurrent problem individualsl shoudl seek an addiction specialist. Consider aa.
