Improve NOT remove: It is possible to improve scars but nearly impossible to remove scars. This requires an assessment of thickness, width, depth, color, texture, location, direction, behavior, adjacent/adherent tissues etc. Depending on the evaluation, an apporopriate intervention(s) is prescribed or recommended. Techniques used may inlcude excision, incision, flap/graft, rearrangement, resurfacing, laser, etc.

Many options: The simplest is to use a good make-up designed for this such as covermark or dermablend. Some people hide scars by tattooing over them or wearing cleverly designed clothes/swimsuits/jewelry. Scars can be faded with lasers but they can never be totally removed. If they are really bad/indented, a scar revision can help. Some of us embrace our scars of reminders of how tough we are!
