See a Dentist: A dental abscess will almost never heal by itself. You need to see a dentist for examination and possibly x-rays &/or other tests to establish the exact diagnosis and get recommended treatment options explained to you.

Definitive treatment: Dental abcessed need definitive treatment such as root canal therapy or an extraction. Pain medicine will prolong and mask the problem. Pain medicine is for short term pain management only.
