Is it possible to have only part of your leg or foot amputated?

Yes: Yes, but the standard levels of amputation are 1) toe, 2) trans-metatarsal (half the foot), 3) below the knee, and 4) above the knee. These are standard because they provide levels of functionality.

Yes: Surgeons typically try to save healtht tissue, though amputations are often done at certain locations for anatomic or cosmetic reasons. Common amputations are at the toe level, transmetatarsal-midfoot, ankle, below the knee and above the knee. The location depends on what you and the surgeon feel will give you the best healing and quality of life. Anesthetic technique will depend on location.
