It's hard: It's a hard habit to break in kids. Protective appliances normally used in adults are considered by some to be choking hazards with kids, and with the constantly changing mouths, they don't fit for very long. Most kids will tend to "grow out of it" when they start losing their baby teeth. If it's severe check with a pediatric dentist for their advice.

Not much.: Very often kids will stop night grinding on their own. There are some reports that grinding can be attributed to ear infections. Discuss it with your child's pediatric dentist and him be checked out to make sure that there is no damage.
