A 7 year old has been experiencing on and off abdominal pain (lower) for a month and a half. initially had vomiting, fever and constipation. now there is pain above the groinwith no vomiting and constipation. what should be done?

Hard to say but..: Yersinia enterocolitica can cause such symptoms as mesenteric adenitis. The child needs to see a physician. Hope all works out well.

Get child to ER : Depends if right or left sided pain if boy or girl, can be appendicitis, can be ovarian or testicular torsion, bring child to er to evaluate.

See pediatrician: Please take your child to the pediatrician. These symptoms could be something serious, but since it's been going on for a month, and er visit doesn't seem appropriate. Constipation seems a likely diagnosis, but please have the pediatrician evaluate.
