Usual cycle: At this point your normal cycle should have reasserted itself, so whatever cycle length is usual for you (typically anywhere from 24 to 30 days) is what you should expect.
Dr. Douglas Fronzaglia ii, do, ms
Geriatrics 21 years experience
Should be on sched: Your periods should return to normal within 6 months.

If I take the abortion pill, will that put future pregnancies at risk?

Dr. Nicholas Fogelson

No: Medical abortion will have no impact on future pregnancies. Mifeprex (ru-486) and Misoprostol lead to a miscarriage of the pregnancy, and from your body's perspective it is no different than a natural miscarriage.

A 39-year-old member asked:

I eat really late at night. Will my cycle cause my body to create acid at ridiculous times?

Dr. Howard Hack
Internal Medicine 33 years experience
Yes: Eating late can be problematic if you are going to sleep after your meals. Eating triggers our stomachs to make acid and this then can lead to acid reflux. Ideally it's better to eat early, especially for the larger meal of the day.
A 24-year-old member asked:

How come I cramp when I exercise even though I am not on my period?

Dr. Bryan Levey
Pediatrics 27 years experience
Two different things: You can cramp when you exercise for a variety of reasons including insufficient warm up, fatigue, etc.. These cramps can happen in a muscle in your arm, your leg, your belly, or your back. The cramp during your period is a menstrual cramp. This has nothing to do with exercising.
