Not recommended: Pediatricians do not recommend for babies to watch tv. Just remember that bright colors, moving objects and loud sounds will always stimulate the baby and get baby's attention, doesn't mean that it is good for them, interactions with you, your voice, bright colorful, moving toys that meant for the baby are much better.

This may shock you: The american academy of pediatrics recommends no tv/video viewing before age 2. When " baby einstein" videos were touted as tools for learning language, scientific studies showed the exact opposite: delays in language, the severity of which increased as viewing time increased in kids < age 2. Only reciprocally interactive language promotes development of communication - the original face time.
