A member asked:

How cadmium cause diabetes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

News to me: The primary effect of cadmium toxicity is on the tubules of the kidney. As a result of renal tubular dysfunction, osteoporosis and bone fractures can result, as well as kidney stones. Cadmium can also cause lung disease, including lung cancer. I am not aware of any association with diabetes, though.
