Be careful: Celexa (citalopram) 80 mg is a hugh dosage . If your doctor titrated you up to that dosage you better discuss with the prescribing doctor, you may need that dosage. It is possible to decrease slowly.Antidepressants should be weaned off slowly under supervision.

Work w/your doctor: If wanting to wean off celexa (citalopram), (citalopram) please discuss this first with your prescribing physician. You need to be sure the original condition is stable, and that it's safe to change your medication. You're on a very high dose of celexa (citalopram). The tapering process needs to be gradual. It's best done while working closely with your own physician.

Not on your own: I wouldn't suggest to do it on your own, go back to you prescribing doc and let them monitor the weaning process, withdrawal from antidepressants sometimes can be cruel, need someone to guide you through and help along the way.
