White spots on the: tonsils can be pus,but then you would probably have a sore throat and feel ill.Often the white spots on tonsils are macerated food particles, which turn into white little lumps that get stuck in the crypts of the tonsils. The tonsils are not solid structures, so there are crypts and valleys that can trap these. They are often mistaken for pus, especially if someone is ill. They do not need treatment.
