Yes.: Its is part of prenatal vitamin especially both for helping with anemia of pregnancy . As well as to prevent neural tube defects in the developing embryo- as the neural tube develops into brain and spinal cord.

Yes: If you are trying to conceive you should be on prenatal vitamins which contains folic acid. Or you can take Folic Acid with regular multi vitamins.
