Yes BUT...: 1. It is for topical use only; it cannot be used to treat blood infections. It is too toxic for consumption.
2. It can only treat small, superficial infections; in most infections, other interventions are needed such as abscess drainage and debridement of infected tissue.
3. It is only effective if the staph isn't already resistant to the antibiotic.
