Where is it?: Different fractures will require different amount of time. Fingers will usually heal in a month; scaphoids about 2-3 months. Is also improtant to evaluate the type of fracture and is you have other comorbidities, which can also influence in the amout of time needed for healing. Did you get it checked? Hand fractures can: Take 6-8 weeks to heal for simple long bone ( finger and metacarpal) injuries. Wrist bones, open injuries, injury with significant soft tissue damage can take longer. Airline employee rules for return to work are often complex so make sure you talk to your employer and treating md to find out whether you can return in a splint or not. Its often not a straightforward answer.
