Sinusitis: If you are diagnosed with sinusitis, your doctor can prescribe several medicines that are able to be taken by someone allergic to penicillin and breastfeeding. If you just have sinus symptoms and want to take something from the store, you should be able to take an antihistamine for runny nose, breathe hot steam vapor for congestion and drink pleanty of fluids.

Sinus infection: Most sinus infections are viral and will get better regardless of what you do. Some ways of treating symptoms include decongestants, ibuprofen, nasal saline irrigation and sometimes an intranasal steroid. If confirmed bacterial sinusitis, then Levofloxacin or Azithromycin can be used, although azithro (zpack) is not recommended anymore as first line therapy by infectious disease society.
