Interesting question: Many people do not catch the subtle difference of terminology, but there is a significant difference. Neuropathy is actual nerve damage. You may have pain or loss of sensation from this, may just have weakness or mix. Neuralgia is pain in the distribution in a nerve, sometimes caused by neuropathy, sometimes caused by irritation or even idiopathic. Hope this clears up the difference!
