Can a compound fracture leave you disabled if you don't go for rehab?

Depends: The first issue with a compound or open fracture is preventing an infection with debridement and antibiotics. Disability could occur from malalignment, fracture not healing, and/or arthritis. Rehabilitation can help after a fracture but is not always required.
