What is chronic renal failure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lab testing: A creatinine clearance number of less the 10 generally determines renal failure. This number is calculated by your age, weight and sex. Not all people with CKD need dialysis right away. This is determined by symptoms associated with renal failuire like high potassium, volume overload(edema and difficulty breathing), itching, poor appetite, other "uremic" symptoms.
