A member asked:

What are the common diseases that can give rise to chronic renal failure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

AODM and HTN: Without question, adult onset diabetes mellitis and hypertension are the most common. Together, these diseases account for over half of our nation's ckd-5 (end stage renal failure). Because each of these diseases can be modified by lifestyle, exercise, weight management, and medications, it is important for us to do all we can to prevent renal failure - or at least delay it as long as possible.
