Risks: Many risks. If you travel overseas how much are you really saving? The foreign work I have seen from mexico, asia, italy, russia and greece is below the standard of care. I would advise against it unless you want to go and have it redone here.

Possibly: There are different standards of educatuion of dentists in different countries. Also, materials used may be different as well as regulations that dentist have to follow. It would all depend on where you are going and what level of education the dentist has.

Risks abound.: Although there are many well-trained dentists abroad, many are not and you will have no real way of knowing how well they are trained or what materials they might be using. Additionally, if you have dental implant treatment with an implant that is not fda approved it may not be possible for a dentist in the usa to repair or restore it as they won't be able to legally get the parts.
