What is the likely cause of my knee pain on arising from lotus position?

Lotus ?: I would love to help you out, however, i must be more general in the fact that I am really not sure what the lotus position is. Any knee pain upon certain motion would really require the minimum of an x-ray and an examination did develop an educated opinion. Must be related to joint cartilage, ligament (4 major), menicus pad (2), knee cap, bursa, or even referred from hip. Get checked.
